I need Help & Advice on casting spells Please

Hi everyone, I've only recently signed up on EUTM & although I know a little about spell casting I really do need help & advice. I've tried money spells with candles, I felt so confident it would work. It didn't. I feel confused in not sure who to ask for help. I need help in just about all areas of my life . I split from my violent ex yet he's happy & has money while my life is a daily struggle . I live alone, I'm unhappy, lonely have no 1 in my life. I struggle financially every day as I don't work just now. Met for yrs I've had a feeling & somehow know 1 day I'll be very wealthy I'll win the jackpot , it's so far not happened & I don't no why I know it will I wish I did. I'm so sick of my whole life but can't find a spell I could try to change things. I know money isn't everything but I'd rather have plenty than have nothing. I don't want to be greedy & when I finally an rich I fully intend helping so many others in fact it would be such a joy to be able to do so. Can anyone help me please. I can't afford to buy all kinds of stuff for a spell. I have no idea even how to find some of the things such as a black candle. I've tried the dousing to pick lottery numbers , it's not happened yet. You can see how confused I am. I hope someone can guide me , help me & advise me. PLEASE HELP

Unfortunately, this is the situation of the economy at the moment. It is moving in a positive direction, but it has always taken some time and effort to get on the ladder to begin with. It's the same for almost everyone (barring those who have connections), and you aren't the only one to feel this way or to be put in this position.

Focus on yourself, build and hone your skill set, learn how to better advertise yourself to potential employers, look into volunteer positions or internships to build connections and network, and be prepared to put in the legwork.

All spells will be able to do is potentially help your efforts along, but it will not open doors for you that wouldn't otherwise be open and it will not do the work for you. You owe it to yourself to build your foundation the right way.

I know how difficult and frustrating and utterly disheartening it is, I've been there, and I've had a LOT riding on my success (and I ultimately failed for 3 years of my search, and even now I'm severely under-employed). This is life, it's a process and a journey and all we can do is accept who we are in this moment, be kind to those around us, and continue to improve ourselves and our abilities.

I believe you may be feeling out of control of your life. Firstly, please don't compare your life to your ex's. If you've kicked him out of your life, knowing whats going on in his will always effect you. Don't let him make you miserable.
Second, I understand the pressure of needing money. I recommend waitressing or looking in your area for someone who may need a personal assistant is a good way to go. (as far as short advice goes.)
And thirdly, before you can cast anything for yourself, I find, you need to know who you're casting for. I get the sense you don't REALLY know yourself very well and are in need of some inner peace. Begin with meditation. There are many short tutorials on youtube to get started. EUTM is here to help along the way. If you have a deity I recommend praying to them in meditation. Ask for divine help, they always listen.

You will encounter the same situation with trying to win the lottery by spellwork. Others will be doing the same thing. In the case of job hunting however, you can research the market and target jobs where you would be a good fit. Then you tailor your resume and interview skills to make sure you're the stand out candidate.

Tinkerboo, there are several job spells on EUTM. The best thing to do though is to personalize a spell so it is specific to what you need. It is always best to write a spell to fit your specific needs, but using one that you can use as a template works in a pinch. I do understand that lack of funds, I was unemployed for 2_1/2 years while I was fighting for disability. Believe me you can do a spell without spending any money. Just like when people of other religions pray and get what, we can do the same thing. A spell doesn't work because you spend a lot of money, they work because you believe they will.

The best advice I can give you is believe in yourself and your ability. Don't doubt yourself. Meditate first to clear all doubt from yourself then concentrate on your goal as you start your spell work.

As for getting to know people, there are many people here including me that would like to get to know you better. After all we can all use more friends.

Hello tinkerboo. First of all I'd like to say congratulations on leaving a toxic situation. Having been in a similar situation myself, I know that leaving and its aftermath can be difficult. Let's start by tackling the mundane issues first, then we'll move on to the magickal ones.
Have you been to a psychiatrist? If you need help getting started, there are some pointers here. I think that by getting help and getting your life in order, you might see that some of the magick that you thought you needed isn't really necessary at all. Magick is meant as a supplement to the mundane side of life. Without the mundane legwork, magick isn't going to take hold. Think of it as trying to hang something on a wall without using a nail, screw, hook, etc.. to actually hold it up.
Why not try out a support group? You'll be able to meet others with similar experiences. You'll not only have people to commiserate with, you may make friends in the process. Look for groups in a phone directory, online, or see if they're listed in your local newspaper. If you're seeing a psychiatrist, they might be able to recommend a group to you, or provide the resources to find a group.
Have you visited our Mental Health board yet? You can read posts by members with similar experiences. If you feel up to it, you can start your own thread there with details of your own experience. I do have to warn that some of the subjects can trigger trauma, so please beware. We've got many topics here, mundane and magickal alike, so jump in wherever you like.
Before performing magick to change the world around you, you need to work within yourself. Changing your perspective can sometimes be all you need. You might want to try working on mentally letting go of the past. It's hard to enjoy where you are if you're focused on where you've been. If you have any object left that reminds you of your ex, get rid of it. Maybe you could treat thinking of your ex as a bad habit that you're trying to rid yourself of. Try wearing a rubber band around your wrist. When you think of your ex, stop, snap the band, and think of something else. You'll find that you'd much rather think of pleasant thoughts than feel the sting of the rubber band. Don't just punish yourself, reward your self too. Every step you take to distance yourself from the past is a victory.
Resolve to love yourself. I'm generalizing here, but low self-esteem and low self-worth can sometimes be a result of a traumatic situation. Build up your relationship with yourself and your confidence will shine through. Work on being positive too. When you're confident, others will take notice.
You don't need money to help others. Material and monetary gifts aren't necessary. You are often the greatest gift you can give. Volunteer to help clean a park or stretch of highway. Read to other people. Tutor children. Walk, feed, or wash shelter animals. Run errands for the elderly. Help a friend organize a rummage sale. Helping others will make you feel good and keep your mind off of any upsetting topic. Who knows, you might also make new friends along the way.

Not every spell is going to work. Sometimes success and failure depends on the experience of the spell caster, the universe knowing we don't really need what we're asking for, how much will was applied to the spell, or any number of things. Magick will work however the universe sees fit, usually by taking the path of least resistance. Don't take a failed spell or ritual personally. We're not always meant to have what we ask for. There's also the potential to get something similar instead. Just because you ask for rainbow shoes, doesn't mean the universe won't give you turquoise shoes instead. (Personal experience )
Use both your successful and your unsuccessful spells and use them to grow as a spell caster. Take notes on what works and what doesn't. Apply that knowledge to future spells. Magick is full of trial and error. If at first you don't succeed, try, try again. The Reasons Why Spells Don't Work
You don't need tools at all to cast spells. Tools are props to help us focus our intent. Here's an example of magick without any tools: bow your head, close your eyes, talk to the gods. Boom! Prayer = magick. Tools can help as much as they can hinder. I'm sure there are plenty of us who can think of how much time we've wasted trying to find lighters or matches for lighting candles and incense. Or perhaps we've been stopped mid-trance because the battery in the tape recorder died. Here are a list of threads you might want to read:
