My Repetitive Dreams - Discussion

Postby smokahontas » Wed May 27, 2015 11:36 am

As a child I remember 2 dreams in particular that I would have often. 1, I would "wake up" in the middle of the night, walk out of my room into the hall way to the staircase and just jump and fly down the stairs and out the door. I don't remember a thing after that, never could but I would have this dream OFTEN. the second me being in a strange white room, and this one is harder for me to remember but I would feel something when I walked into the room, I have no idea what, but these strange shapes would appear, only way I could describe it is like silly that gooey stuff you make out of glue and starch  and different colors too some marble colors. It was always weird to me and I never had an explanation to it. Did anyone else ever have strange dreams like that as a kid? Where do you think repetitive dreams come from or why? I always wondered (as a child) if I could secretly fly and it was a sign to me, that would've been cool but I never physically tried to jump of the top of the stairs which is a good thing because I probably would've developed some broken bones

I had a couple repetive dreams when I was a kid, one was flying too. I would run like superman down the sidwalk near my house, then take 3 really large leaping like bounds and jump into the air and begin a swimming motion. I always jumped into the air in front of this old spanish style house on my block. I remember tring it in my waking hours and could just not get the lift needed to seperate from gravity. what the neighbors must have thought.
Then there was one of squiggly slides that twiswed and turned and interwove through each other, hundreds of them. Would get off of one only to go on another, up down and all around. At this point I can't remember if water was involved, but Seems like a water park. ...but this repetitive dream was before water slides.
As for the reason behind repetive dreams, it is usually your subconscious atempting to get you to notice something. Like if you were being chased, generally means there is something in your life you cannot face or are afraid to face.
Flying dreams are very common and are the moments when we are on astral journeys. Next step is becoming lucid.

My repetitive dream nowadays is of a very very very large house, with rooms I will never use, and an attic that holds some kind of ancestral treasure I cant quite access, ha! I just realized this may be related to being adopted. Actually I have ahout 3 dream houses, but they overlap somehow. I also have dreamtime Harley, that one is always fun smiley_dance

Your meaning behind being chased makes so much sense. I was dreaming all the time that people were after me, chasing me and sometimes wanting to hurt or kill me. It really started to bother me and would wake up like I was physically running and in a panic which is why I got a dream catcher so that stopped.

I used to have a dream about being in cave and being chased by monsters. The monsters looked like our old black and white Philco console television, except they had legs and we're flaming on the top. I had that dream for years, until I finally grew out of it. Sadly, some of our members have probably never seen an old black and white console television.

That's pretty much what ours was too, without the doors. I've always wondered if it was just a case of too many hours in front of it. But I couldn't miss Roy Rogers, Fury, and Sky King on Saturday mornings. That would have been tragic. I even wore my cowgirl outfit, complete with six shooter to watch.
