Greetings to all! I'm new to the forum (and posting on forums in general). I've been trying to walk this path for 2 years, but I'm finding its hard to learn as much as I want as quickly as I want as a solitary witch.

I'll turn 40 next month, but my decision to change religions isn't a midlife crisis. More like a crisis of faith. My mom died unexpectedly 2 years ago & I just couldn't reconcile how a benevolent God could let her suffer & take such a good person away and let the people like the Boston marathon bombers get away.

I've been interested in Wicca for some time and losing my mom was the catalyst in taking the leap to leave the church and head back to nature. I'm a woman of science, so the church dogma has always been sticky for me.

I share my life with 4 cats. Hmm, anything else that you'd like to know?
