Your path?
How'd everyone decide on their path?

Re: Your path?
I just kind of thought about it and was like eh this works. Like it aligns close enough to my goals and beliefs so I decided to be a sort of druid.

Re: Your path?
I read Cunningham’s “Wicca”. Since then I kept on reading & eclectic solitaire is the only path that appeals.

Stabilize my life? I mostly just practice occasionally and I use a little energy work to help me stay warm in the cold

Re: Your path?
I would say it was half exploration and trial and error... many years of experimenting, finding what works for me, what makes sense, what aligns with my morality, that sort of thing - and half being undeniably called to a particular group of deities and spirit work, and being unable to ignore that. How'd everyone decide on their path?

Re: Your path?
I started with learning other methods to improve my health which got me started with crystals and chakras. Then I started meditating which got me connected to my guardian angels and shortly after that, I became aware of various groups like Ascended Masters and Deities. My Primary Spirit Guide came out of a group of Deities and guided me as to what I was to study which includes spell casting. How'd everyone decide on their path?
I looked into Wicca and Druidry at the same time I was reading about crystals and chakras. A few years later, I started calling myself a Druid because it felt right plus I was guided that Druidry is my path.
Knowledge without understanding is not wisdom. (An excerpt from a message I channeled from a Deity.)

Re: Your path?
My Family built 3 churches. Baptist Churches.
I started reading the bible when I was very young. I was fascinated by religion from an early age and I had questions.
People interpreted my questions as lack of faith and I was slowly turned toward atheism as a way to deal with my unwillingness to simply accept dogma.
My interest in faith and religion never subsided so I started reading about other religions and philosophies and practices.
Jesus led me to Mohammed, Mohammed led me to Abraham, Abraham led me to the Gautama, the Gautama led me to Vishnu, Vishnu led me to the OGDOAD, and they led me to Zoroaster.
At that point I had to reconcile that there was more. So much more. There were all the other systems from Africa, and central Asia, and the Steppes, the islands, and the Americas.
I just kept learning about new systems and cosmologies. Ultimately I concluded that all of those systems were rooted in understanding nature and they all originated from a standard dualism that was slowly homogenized for the exclusive benefit of men.
So I chose the path that came before these systems. The path that acknowledges the sacred duality of nature and time.

Re: Your path?
Well, stated HopefulChild. My path is pretty matrifocal. I see the oneness through monism but I feel many religions evolved from nature in such a manner that they became muddled overtime and turned into systems to control people, thus becoming patriarchal. It gets worse when humans think they're above everyone else, including nature.
I am the Earth, The Sun and the Stars
And I am the also the Moon
I am all animal and birds,
And I am the outcast as well, and the thief
I am the low person of dreadful deeds,
And the great person of excellent deeds
I am Female. I am Male and I am Neuter. - Devi
