I've never heard of those before, I guess it's superstition but I don't know. ::coolglasses::

Well where I live at the moment, I have a rose quartz in the left corner of my bedroom window and I like to burn a candle whenever I'm in my bedroom and before I go to sleep at night I look outside my bedroom window and look at nature, like the sky, the grass, the trees and flowers etc.. (I have done that for a while now, kind of like a tradition I have).

That has nothing to do with you moving into a new home but I do wish you the best luck for moving and I hope it all goes well for you! :D

Blessed Be!

So far as I know the things you mentioned are just superstition. The only advantage I can think of bringing in a loaf of bread before anything else.. Is that the house'll have that lovely freshly cooked bread smell in it :) (provided it's a freshly cooked loaf, of course! haha).

Aside from that.. I'll leave it to others to help. It's not really my forté, and I don't know a tremendous amount about cleansing houses / protecting them with objects / actions sorry.

When you move in your can burn a sage smudge or really good sage/basil incense. I know a guy who makes all his incense from pure essential oils. If you want his website address let me know and I'll send it over.

Anyway Sage and Basil are good for cleansing and attracting good energies.

I made a little herb and stone sachet with protection and cleansing herbs and stones in it, i am going to put one in every room, most likely thay will be hidden because there really ugly lol. But i cant bless it befor we move in we dont get to go over there tell the day we move in so once we get the keys will will move evey thing in right then. Then the next day we will be cleaning and things here. But we move this briday and i am so exited the new apt is so much better than where we are now.

I have alot of black stones and i am also putting them at the door and windows so there is no way negativity can get into this new place. Well i am hopeing so anyways, This place has been so bad energy wise.

OK, looks like you need some serious help here. Let's see what we can do.

#1. About bringing the "old broom" into your new place. I assume you mean bringing your old "Besom". Youre correct, you should never bring an old Besom into a new place - you'll bring along all the negativity it has swept up in the past with it.

#2. About cleansing - start in the farthest corner of the new place from the "main" door, the one you always use whether its the back or the front. Burn Sage in either a bundle or a loose pile in a container (an Abalone Shell is preferred but anything will work. Go along the outside of every room until you have reached the main entrance, using a feather or your hand to bruh the smoke out into the rooms as you go and concentrating on removing all bad energy. Now youve "cleansed", but you still have one more step--

#3 Protect - The best two ways to protect your new place from negative energies are either to take a Sweetgrass Braid, light the small end of it, burn for a few seconds and tamp it out. Then hang it over your main door with the ends pointing DOWN (like an upside down horseshoe). the second way it to use two Amethyst Points (2-3 in long). Place one on each side of your doorway(on the floor or above the door jamb) with the small ends of each point facing each other. either of these will protect against negative energies entering your home.

Remember one thing, we all open our windows and use other doors in our homes. It would not be cost-effective to protect every single one of them in this fashion - so you WILL from time to time have to repeat this process!

I have alot of little black stones i was going to put at the door and the windowsone on eitch side of the frame. I also use alot of rock salt sometimes i even use it to make a circle with depending on what i need, so i was going to also put rocksalt in a fue places too, but i was wanting atlest one black stone in every room of the apt. I have so many things i want to do to the apt for protection.

Also is a reguler broom considered a Besom i dont use it in any rituals just to sweep the floor, so dose that count?

We are talking about "witchy things" here, so no it does not count, although there is an old wive's tale that says you shouldnt do it. I suspect its origin is based on the idea of the besom though.

Never heard of the black stone thing, although I HAVE heard of sprinkling black SALT.

well black is a protection color, and the stone is a phisical symbal of it, that was my understanding. Someone told me to use Jet stone, and i thought the black stone i had was jet, but it isnt its still unidentified but its black. I was going to use it more as a symbal of protection.
