what kind of spell uses these ingredients

Postby terrie67123 » Sun Feb 11, 2007 11:32 pm

hello I am new to this site as well as forums in general. I have a spell/ talismans question that I have been looking for an answer to for a long time.
What I am looking for is what kind ofspell would use these things:
3 coins, pyracantha berries, juniper berries (I believe),rodent vertebra,
all sewn in green satin with red thread left in a room strewn with grain?
Anyone know what this is about what kind of magic? :?:

It looks like a spell for a rich harvest, everything accept the Rodent verbrea but that could have been added to protect against the rodents. So Im getting out of it.

A rich harvest and protection from animals that would destroy the harvest.

Yeah, what he said. To me it sounds like the practitioner might have some hoodoo or vodoun influence, if that helps.

That's what I thought too. Hoodoo. Or a very old spell. Fascinating.

Thank you all for your intrest . Any help you can give on this would be very appreciated. I do believe that this is an old spell as it came from a place that old people lived. They were not very nice people from what was found prior to the grain and the pouch turning up the people where deported to Africa if that helps. It was a horrific scene.

The coins were a nickle, a dime, and a penny. Do you have any ideas on this? Please let me know.
Thank You

Hummmmmm.....this may not be the purpose of the coins in the spell.

The nickel I have used in some of my old prosperity spells. A nickel plus sandalwood incense, red candle, using an Egyptian earth goddess as a name of power. The nickel was never charged like some other spells with coins.

Silver coins-green candle for money.
Gold coins-any good wealth attracting color.
You might try a gold (if you can get one) candle with prosperity runes on paper in orange color (felt tip pen is ok)

I really don't know about the penny. It seems 3 coins may have been used to represent abundance, perhaps abundant harvest or just having plenty.

Something else I've just remembered. Some wiccans used to believe that any objects which had been used for money spells, the energies still in them could cause fertility in crops. So, maybe the coins might actually be added for crop fertility also.

It's Hoodoo, the pouch is a 'mojo' or 'nation' sack. Here is a link to Hoodoo on Wikipedia which explains a bit about this.

I'm still waiting for my friend, who may shed more light on it, I hope.

I'm not really familiar with Hoodoo. I've heard some stuff about Voodoo, that is not my type of magic.

I just clicked on the link. Yes, it does mention coins as one of the objects used in these bags.

Could you tell me, Terrie, are you just curious or do you need some help with 'undoing' ? I have some info. which may help in undoing. There is a taboo on anyone other than the owner opening or handling the bag. I 'll see what else I can get for you.

Its a HooDoo Spell, and it was done by someone wanting to bring health back to a child who was cursed by a Witch.

If it was done correctly, you would have found this bag under something heavy. Once it was made and something heavy put on/over it, they would have chanted something to the effect that the offending Witch would not be able to move or do anything until such time as the Witch restored health to the child.
