Pagan Comic - The Many Moons of Astra

Postby GlenGoldentree » Wed Oct 24, 2007 10:40 am

I wasn't sure exactly where to put this topic, so if a moderator thinks it's more appropriate in another place, please move it. Thanks :)

I just wanted to let everyone know that I do a Pagan weekly webcomic for free as a service to the Pagan community. This is a Pagan niche comic about three Wiccan girls who work at a new-age book store. Though the comic is truly meant for Wiccans and other Neopagans, most of the comics do not require an intimate knowledge of these subjects to understand. It is a full color weekly comic, updated every Monday.

I've been doing the comic for well over a year now, so there's quite a few to read. The comic began as a simple joke per strip sort of thing, but has progressed into an ongoing story. But I still try to make each page funny on its own.

Anyway, you can read the comic be following this link:

And here's a sample of the latest comic:

Thank you, to those of you who check it out. I hope you enjoy it, and I will be hanging around here, so please feel free to give me any cmments or suggestion as well. :)

I like it. I found Diana's "whistleblowing" at the religious tolerance fair especially funny. Apple is hillarious too.

Yeah, Oh My Gods is great fun. It's amazing how eloquent the expressions of those little guys are, considering all they have is eyes!

Oh yes, I am an avid reader of Oh My Gods! Great stuff. In fact, you will see it listed at the top of my links page. :) One of the reasons I chose to go with a more comic-book type of art style was so that it didn't resemble Oh My Gods! in any way, since the comparison was inevitable with us both being Pagan webcomics. Admittedly, there are times I wish I had gone with a more simple style so that I could update more often like he does... one page can take up to 12 hours for me. But I'm pretty happy with the results overall.

I liked a lot of them! They were really funny. How often do you come out with a new strip?

I thought your comic was pretty funny. I especially loved the little bit with Apple's coven, that was good.

Your characters are really fun, good job on the comic and keep it up I shall continue reading!

I come out with a new comic each Monday. This Monday won't be a new comic, since it's the big rush time before Samhain and I won't really have the time to spend making one. But I will be posting several desktop background images instead of a comic this coming Monday.

But usually it's a new comic each Monday. :) And I should be back on track after next week.

I actually liked your comic *better* than "Oh my Gods!" But then, I prefer having plot threads between strips and so on.
