Wolf Moon

Postby Wolf Heart » Mon Nov 05, 2007 11:02 am

The Full moon in January is called the Wolf Moon or Old Moon. I did a little research and decided to write this poem, since January is my birth month.
Enjoy!

Wolf Moon

The snow falls gently
Covering the sweet earth.
Yule has come brining
The Great God's rebirth.

The wolves, they howl
Hear their praise?
The nights are young,
With blooming of long days.

The air is crisp
The wind, so strong.
Families are gathered,
For this winter, so long.

The new year has begun
With it, a fresh start.
A time to reflect,
To open up your heart.

The Wolf Moon has come,
In this monthly phase.
The wolves, they howl...
Hear their praise?

Blessed Be,
Wolf Heart

Hmm I think about 15 minutes, maybe a bit less. Some of my best works are when I just let my mind sort of "blank out" and write whatever comes.

That is really good. I wish I could write poetry. I've tried just no luck. Good job. :)

i do like your poetry...
...not all who wander are lost... (tolkein)

I am the daughter of Earth and Water
and the nursling of the sky-
I pass through the pores of the oceans and shores
I change, but I never die.
